MARYNELL MEADORS APPRECIATION
NIGHT PLANNED FOR MAY 6
COOKEVILLE, Tenn., -- An informal evening has been planned for Marynell Meadors Appreciation Night at Tennessee Tech University, giving Golden Eaglette basketball fans a chance to bid farewell to the 16-year coaching veteran.
Meadors, who recently took over the Florida State coaching job, started the Tech program in 1970 and guided the Eaglettes to a 363-138 record in 16 seasons. She is the third: winningest coach in women’s basketball history.
Member of the current Eaglette team, plus newly promoted head coach Bill Worrell, will also be on hand for the event which is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. on the floor of the Eblen Center.
Cost to the evening $5 per person, and includes a barbeque dinner from Bobby Q's restaurant.
Tickets for Marynell Meadors Appreciation Night are available at Austin’s One Hour Photo, Unlimited Sports and the Tech ticket office in Eblen Center.
