The front of the flyer has a photograph of three Black young women posing together in a parking lot. The front page text reads: "RACE is a mentoring program that is dedicated to providing a personal experience to incoming minority freshmen by helping them take advantage of campus resources, providing social guidance, and promoting academic success, while encouraging future professional growth." The text on the back side is formatted into two columns. The first column reads "Benefits of being involved in RACE: Students will be paired with upperclassmen that have demonstrated academic and social success / Students will become aware of available services at TTU / Students will attend programs in which Mentors and Mentees actively interact and participate / Students will establish and participate in a network with other minority students / Students will be provided personal and professional enrichment opportunities / Students will improve their study skills, time management, and interpersonal skills." The second column reads "Activities: Blackout Tuesday: Every third Tuesday of each month RACE will take over Bowling World!! First game and shoes FREE to all RACE Mentees and Mentors. / Cookouts / Monthly group outings: Cyber Tag & Roller Skating / Forums that will give freshmen insight into their first year at Tech, covering topics from how to balance their time and spending habits to how to study for a college final."
