 Putnam Manufacturing, established in 1956, manufactured cotton work pants. It was located on South Jefferson across from Tractor Supply, later became Red Kap, and eventually purchased by Mr. Garry McNabb who had it significantly renovated and leased out to multiple organizations and businesses. The building is now located on Commerce Avenue, as Landmark Square mall was built on South Jefferson in front of it.
