Evins Appreciation Day celebrated the Congressperson and dedicated six new dormitories and the Engineering building. The event featured Lester Flatt, Earl Scruggs, and the Foggy Mountain Boys. Dottie and Bill West Day featured Faron Young and his Deputies, Minnie Pearl, The Harden Trio, and Waylon Jennings and the Waylors.
